Description
This
position will have a direct impact on the revenue model and overall
success of Western Union Business Solutions in India. This role will be
instrumental in driving new business through agent management and
development of relationships with external stakeholders. The Business
Development Specialist will also play a vital role in Training and
creating Go To Market strategies for the organisation as well as the
agent network.
The Business Development
Specialist will play a key role in supporting the various marketing
implementation and ensuring the agents reach out to the consumers in all
important geographies in the region to increase sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Head Profit & Loss account for the region
- Responsible for TRL (Transactions, Revenue, Locations) of the region
- Client Acquisition thru self/extended agents sales teams
- Relationship management with Banks and Agents to drive business
- Identify, evaluate and incorporate new business opportunities to the business plan through liaison with other industry bodies
- Drive sales structure through agent management channel with effective planning and coordination
- Drive marketing and sales promotion activities with agents and manage agent training
- Manage agent budgets (revenue, expenses, profitability in business)
- Oversee and review lead management process to ensure strong pipeline at all times
- Competition mapping & ensuring WU maintains its value proposition in the market
- Liaison with operations, marketing and other related functions to build programs, facilitate resolutions and drive regional / organizational objectives.
- Manage outsourced resources (AMAR resources, manage their targets, reviews, goal settings, appraisals, marketing activities)
- Working closely with agent partners to measure the effectiveness of the investment / business plan on a monthly basis, understand the needs of the agent network & market and design introduce appropriate tools to drive transactions and revenues
- Take ownership of new projects and drive implementation
Requirements:
- Graduates with relevant experience in forex and trade services
- MBA in Finance / Marketing will be an added advantage
- 6 to 8 years of sales experience in Financial Services (preferred focus on forex and trade services – Trade payments)
- Good knowledge of current account opening documentation/process
- Knowledge of Indian cities, markets, customer needs & requirements from a trade/ forex perspective
- Agent channel management skills and experience
- Willingness to travel, about 70% of the time
- Should be fluent in English and Local Language (Speak/Read/Write)
- Experience in managing brands & business where product / service delivery is through third parties
- Team management, goal setting, coaching, training
- Strong understanding of Financial Services Regulatory environment and relevant policies with a focus on forex and trade
